When you create an account we collect your email address. When you add devices, we store the device brand, model, category, and optionally the location and room you assign. When you use the AI advisor we store the conversation history so you can refer back to it. We collect your subscription tier and usage count to enforce plan limits.
Your email is used only to send account confirmation, password reset, and important service emails. Your device inventory is used to give the AI advisor personalised context about your smart home. Conversation history is stored so you can review past sessions. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond operating this service.
We use Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing — they store your payment card details, not us), Resend (transactional email delivery), and Anthropic (AI responses — your messages are sent to their API but not retained for training per Anthropic's API policy). Cloudflare Turnstile is used for bot protection on the sign-up form.
Your account and all associated data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all data at any time by emailing support@housetechsupport.com. We will complete deletion within 30 days.
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We use row-level security in our database so your data is only accessible to your account. We apply security headers to prevent common web attacks.
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, and withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account. To exercise any of these rights contact us at support@housetechsupport.com.
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. No third-party analytics scripts are loaded on this site.
